Gary Larson was, of course, a big influence on me. Science geeks all over the world were saddened by his decision to stop doing his cartoons. This is my theory as to what happened to him.
This is also the first cartoon in which I chose not to spell out the swearwords. I realized that the "symbol" way of doing it gets the message across without making people feel weird about putting it up on their lab wall. Of course, no one ever does that, but one can dream...
