This is the first in my "Irrational Fears" series. They are mostly centered around my experiences during my third year of medical school. I thought of this particular one during my OB/GYN rotation. Holding a retractor during a vaginal hysterectomy is some kind of torture. I like the scrub nurse. There's a rare scrub nurse who doesn't hate medical students.
