The summer before my second year of med school, I drew about 6 cartoons. Some were a bit racy, but the UCSF school paper, The Synapse, agreed to run them anyway. Thus, a comic was born. I decided to call my comic Quack because no one should ever take a quack seriously. And yet some always do...
Below are links to my cartoons, with comments. They are in order of creation. I'll say right now that I know I can't draw and do not aspire to be a professional cartoonist. Instead, I aspire to be a neurologist with a mischievous hobby. Read at your own risk.
If you are a, dare-I-say, "fan", I suggest you check about once a month for new material. That way you won't be disappointed.

Quack News
July 21, 2003. From Greg (the hubby): Mel started residency in June, and I haven't seen much of her since. She has a few cartoons in her head, but hasn't had time to write anything down. If and when things settle down, she'll get back on it and post some new cartoons. If you want to be notified of the posting of any new cartoons, send your email address to her at mel@quackcartoon.com and we'll add you to the list.
April 20, 2003: Decided to highlight the latest cartoons posted..
Feb 9, 2003: Switched to more reliable web-hosting service (OLM) and made home page snazzier.
Jan 2003: Quackcartoon.com launched.
